A new look to Long Story Short

Announcement time! Beginning in May, I’ll be writing a new public finance newsletter for Route Fifty twice monthly. The first issue is slated for the week of May 2.

What does this mean for LSS? This newsletter has very quickly become my baby and it’s not going anywhere. You’ll still receive weekly emails from me but I’m tinkering with the format. Some of you may remember the first iteration of my “Week in Public Finance” newsletter I created when I was at Governing magazine. It highlighted three stories or developments from the week in short form and I included a “Key takeaways” section after each summary. I’ll be using that format at least in the short term for LSS so that I can keep providing you with my insights and analysis.

I also plan on including a behind-the-scenes look at some of my Route Fifty newsletters when warranted.

Last thing: I’d really like to hear from you in the coming weeks or months about these changes and whether you are getting value from this newsletter. I’ll create an online survey and keep it open during the process and I’ll include links to it in LSS issues. But you can always reply to ANY newsletter in your inbox and let me know your thoughts. This newsletter wouldn’t exist with out you so your opinions matter.
